Fine hand-carved silver jewelry capturing the rugged textures of the wild world

Translations is a new collection exploring the link between inspiration, impulse, material exploration, and creation. Through the medium of cast metals, I am interested in surface textures from the wild, rugged, natural world, and bringing these textures in a bold way to finely crafted precious metal pieces. This limited collection includes rings, earrings, and necklaces in sterling silver, but I hope to introduce 14k gold as well. This collection represents a new intention of mine, which is to start with natural ingredients as the source point, but rather than to include them directly in each piece, to instead translate them more abstractly into newly fabricated work. I am increasingly considering the footprint of materials used in my practice, so this series represents a new approach towards my ongoing desire to bring attention to the smallest details of the natural world.
